Harpenden Sustainability Markets 2024 *Harpenden Common*
Stallholders at the Harpenden Sustainability Markets are local businesses and organisations selling sustainable goods and / or promoting sustainable living. ALL food items must be VEGAN (with the exception of the use of honey, which must be labelled).

The 2024 Harpenden Sustainability Markets are 
Sun 17 March
Sun 19 May
Sun 21 July
SAT 14 September (12 noon - 6pm) and 
Sun 17 November, 
from 10am to 3pm (except September) on Harpenden Common - in front of Park Hall (except September)

Stallholders at the Harpenden Sustainability Markets are local eco businesses and organisations selling sustainable goods and / or promoting sustainable living; food items will be vegan.  

All pitches are gazebo pitches – max size 3m x 3m.  You are required to bring your own gazebo, gazebo weights and tables (unless hiring a gazebo).  

Stallholders fees - 

- £25 per market for a pitch using your own gazebo or

- £20 for a shared hired gazebo (there are a limited number of shared hired places available at each market)  

Stallholders may share their own gazebo, both stallholders need to complete an application form. Each stallholder will be invoiced for 50% of the fee. 

Bookings and Cancellations 
- Bookings can be made, subject to availability, up to two weeks before each market.  
- ALL documentation is required at least two weeks prior to the market dates 
- Refunds will be given for pitches cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to the market. Fees will be liable for cancellations made within two weeks of a market.

In addition to this application form, you must provide the following documentation.  Please email this to markets@sustainablestalbans.org.  Your application cannot be processed without this; the documentation is required two weeks before the market in order to participate in the market.
  1. Certificate confirming £5m public liability insurance for the date of the market
  2. A signed and dated risk assessment 
  3. Relevant food safety documentation
Invoices will be issued for each market, you will receive an invoice from Harpenden Town Council prior to each market.  The fees for each market must be paid one week before the market.  

Joining instructions  will be issued by Harpenden Town Council prior to each market.
