DEL Facilitators in Training (DEL FIT) is an intensive professional development course specifically designed for experienced dance educators who are interested in acquiring and honing facilitation skills. Participants will learn how to develop and facilitate a professional learning workshop based on the DEL model and understand how to embody and apply DEL’s core principles and best practices. The four workshop sessions include interactive learning and engagement, movement exploration, collaborative opportunities, and practice facilitation and peer feedback. Participants also receive personal one-on-one coaching in workshop design and facilitation, and receive a copy of the DEL Facilitation Manual. DEL FIT graduates are empowered and equipped to deliver high-quality professional learning instruction and may be invited to lead or assist in a DEL workshop or course.
The DEL FIT program is led by DEL Founder, Jody Arnhold and DEL Founding Faculty, Ann Biddle.
This program is made possible by the generosity of the Arnhold Foundation and offered free of charge to participants. Dance Educators interested in applying to the program should apply here by February 15, 2022.
Applications are reviewed by DEL Director, Erin Lally and DEL FIT program directors. Those selected are required to commit to all 4 sessions: Saturday and Sunday, March 19, April 3, April 24, & May 21. Sessions meet on these dates from 1:00pm - 5:00pm via Zoom.
