Beyond the AST-2, course development - Survey
You have taken your AST 2, but what's next? We have noticed that there is a gap and opportunity to teach more skills for backcountry travel. Currently after you take your AST 2, the next step is to go on to take CAA 1 or another guides course, however not everyone wants to become a guide. We would like to design a course aimed at backcountry tourers who want to take their skills to another level.

So here is what we are thinking for a new course:
- 5-6 Day Course at remote backcountry lodge, possibly a remote helicopter basecamp. The idea is to find some big terrain to conquer.
- Course Topics: Traditional Navigation, Weather and Snowpack, Crevasse Rescue, Glacier Travel, Advanced Companion Rescue, snowpack analysis, more!
Please help us develop this course by letting us know what you would like to see included. Your name will be entered into a draw to win one of two $100 gift certificates.
