Join us on Sunday afternoons/evenings or Friday AMs for our 2nd year of Junior Beach Doubles Volleyball at the 152 Club!
Teams:
- Can be same-sex or co-ed: 2 girls, 2 boys or 1 girl and 1 boy.
- Boys and girls will be playing against each other. Maximum of 3 players per team - 2 designated players per set.
- Teams are responsible for attending, or providing substitutes for each play date they are on the schedule. Anyone in their division can sub. With permission from the Director, players outside of the league may also substitute.
When:
- League starts on June 4th and will go for 8 weeks.
- August 13th will be the end of season Jr Tournament. Registration fee for the Jr Tournament will be waived for all members of the 152 Club Jr League.
Schedule:
- Each team will have one match and possibly a double header each week.
- 2 games to 21, switching every 7 points.
Format:
- There will be a set schedule for 2 weeks at a time and then each team will be re-seeded by their results from the past two weeks to determine if they move up a level or down a level of play. This way each team should find themselves in the level of play that suits them.
- Seeding will also be used to determine their tournament pool placement.
Grades:
What to bring:
- Sunglasses, towel, comfortable athletic clothing, water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen.
- 1 sand volleyball will be provided for each court for play.
- You may bring your own ball if you wish.
- Most players compete in bare feet but you can also wear sand socks. We will spray the sand when it gets especially hot.
Registration:
- Fill out form and wait for instructions to pay. You will receive a confirmation email once registration is complete.
Deadline: May 22nd
Cost:
- $50/person - this also includes your registration for the end of league tournament on August 13th
Weather:
- Prepare for all kinds of weather. We will play in the rain and cold. We will delay if there is lightning but we will not reschedule.
