Our practitioners use different integrative approaches: chiropractic care and exercises, functional nutrition and supplementation, lifestyle consultation and brain retraining techniques, and energy healings.

For chiropractic adjustment we use our hands or/and instruments to reposition anatomical structures, such as vertebrae. Potential benefits of an adjustment include restoring normal joint motion, reducing pain and inflammation in a joint, improving the alignment and in result neurological functioning and overall well-being. There may be additional supportive procedures or recommendations as well.

During the nutrition counseling you obtain information and guidance about health factors within your own control (diet, nutrition, and related behaviors), which helps nourishing the body, diminish and/or eliminate the systemic toxicity, inflammation and deficiencies. We do not dispense medical advice, any therapy consultation, or prescribe treatment. Our nutrition counseling is not intended for the diagnosis of any disease and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, and/or care of a disease by a medical provider.

We encourage the use of brain-retraining programs when they are appropriate to inspire you through your difficult journey and create healthy habits. Purchasing these programs are absolutely your choice and your responsibility.

In our practice we may conduct some diagnostic or examination procedures carefully if indicated and they may be uncomfortable. As with all types of health care approaches, results are not guaranteed, there is no promise to cure and there are some possible risks to care, including, but not limited to: withdrawal and detox symptoms, muscle spasms, aggravating and/or temporary increase in symptoms, lack of improvement of symptoms, fractures (broken bones), disc injuries, strokes, dislocations, strains, and sprains. Stroke, could be the potential end result of a rare but serious condition known as a cervical arterial dissection that involves an abnormal change in the wall of an artery that may cause the development of a thrombus (clot). Strokes caused by arterial dissections have been associated with over 72 everyday activities such as sneezing, driving, and playing tennis. In 2001, the Canadian Medical Association Journal found there is only a 1 in 5.85 million risk that a cervical manipulation from an MD, PT, or DC would be followed by a stroke.

It is important that you understand there are treatment options available for your condition other than procedures we offer in our practice. Likely, you have tried many of these approaches already. Lastly, you have the right to a second opinion and to secure other opinions about your circumstances and health care as you see fit.

In light of COVID-19 pandemic we are putting all of our effort and take measurements and cautions to make our practice a COVID-19 safe place. However, given the nature of the virus, there is an inherent risk of becoming infected even in most careful situation from many different sources in the community.

I have read, or have had read to me, the above consent. I appreciate that it is not possible to consider every possible complication to care. I have also had an opportunity to ask questions about its content, and by signing below, I agree with the current or future recommendation to receive the cared discussed above as is deemed appropriate for my circumstance. I intend this consent to cover the entire course of care from all providers in this office for my present condition and for any future condition(s) for which I seek wellness care from this office. I hereby acknowledge and assume the risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 through this treatment and consultations, and I give my express permission for practitioners and all the staff at Lotus Wellness Choice to proceed with the same.
