Most people in the field of Humanities have heard of Sigmund Freud, but few are truly familiar with his theory and his style of therapy. There may be various reasons for this, one of which is the fact that Freud and his theory and therapy are seldom systematically presented in the local context.

This 3-day workshop, conducted in Cantonese, will provide a detailed view on Freud’s concepts from the personal, historical, and political context. The audience can make use of such concepts to gain better understanding of themselves and their relationships. The workshop will also illustrate how these concepts were interwoven to form his style of therapy – Psychoanalysis, and present an algorithm that the audience can incorporate into their work in helping others.
