Sanctuary Volunteers Reset/Restart

Over the past year, there has been a natural attrition of volunteers who can no longer help in various areas. Because Maria is still in Sanctuary and has needs that the community and church have agreed to help meet, Maria and the local leadership of her support team would like to use this form as a way to restart and restructure the support systems of the local Sanctuary movement (which the pandemic has greatly interrupted).

From the information we can collect using this form, and through personal and professional connections that remain from the past few years, our goal is to have a substantial reset and restart of all communication and ministry activities sometime during the month of September, 2020. (Accompaniment restarting in January 2021).

Advocacy - this group would oversee and assist with: Sanctuary Collective Calls, Letters to DNC, Legal Matters, Media Team

Resource Acquisition - this group would oversee and assist with the logistics of helping Maria have access to groceries, supplies, personal items, and other goods/services

Fundraising - this group would help manage and navigate the collection and dispersal of all the things Maria creates to raise money and help with her ongoing fundraising efforts. This could include: Catering, Sewing, Masks sales, or other online fundraising options

Translation Services - this group would primarily be the people who can help navigate translating for Zoom Calls, Online Posts, and Meetings

Accompaniment - this group provides company and safety for Maria at the church, at your convenience (can be a set weekly time or scheduled as you are available). We follow covid-safe protocols and provide training. Spanish not required but is nice!
