NYSSB Panel Presentations - Volunteers Needed
The New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in English and one or more World Languages.  More information about the NYSSB can be found here: http://www.nysed.gov/world-languages/new-york-state-seal-biliteracy-nyssb

Greenburgh CSD is offering our Seniors the opportunity to earn the NYSSB for the first time this academic year. We have 30 students challenging in 7 different languages!

We need your help! Our scholars will need to be evaluated on their panel presentations/culminating projects. Students are required to be able to speak conversationally about a chosen topic with other fluent speakers.

On April 27th (8 AM - 12 PM) , our scholars will "present" these final projects in a "science fair like" setting.

If you are  confidently conversationally fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, French, Korean, German, and/or  Haitian Creole and would like to assist with interviewing students and rating their performance, please fill out the form below.

Volunteers will receive support/training on conducting the interviews/evaluations and completing the required rubric.

Please Contact Catherine Addor (caddor@greenburghcsd.org) if you require additional information or have questions.

We will be recruiting volunteers through March 17, 2023. Thank you for your consideration.
