SAR Library & Archives Research Request

SAR Library & Archives staff will conduct research in the SAR Library & Archives (print and digital resources) on an hourly* basis according to the specified donation tiers. Donation Rate per hour: $35 for SAR and/or FOL members; $50 for non-members. Using this form requires credit card payment via our Friends of the Library Donation Page (please select "other" to submit the hourly rate you qualify for.) - to submit via mail with payment via check or money order, please print out and submit THIS FORM instead. (Research Services for SAR applications should be submitted through the Genealogy Department.)

Examples of Research Requests:

Please find proof of Revolutionary service for Thomas Smith in Alexander County, North Carolina.
Please find the parents of John Daniels of Middlesex County, Massachusetts, ca. 1855.
Would like to know more about the social connections and activity of my Cummings family in Halifax County, Virginia, ca. 1780.
Would like to know which side of the Revolutionary War my Stout family supported while living in Albany, New York.
Would like to know more about my ancestor’s activity as a national officer of the SAR.

Please allow up to 8 (eight) weeks for a response. Patrons must submit payment via credit card link below or submit paper form with check via mail. *Only one hour of research can be submitted at a time – Donation is non-refundable with no guarantee of success.
