CVHS Advanced Placement Student & Parent Contract
To be completed by any student enrolling in 1 or more AP courses for next year.
Please complete this form by Jan. 18th. Please ensure you have already spoken to your current teacher about your readiness to take an AP course in a particular subject.

Taking an AP class is a sign that you’re up for the most rigorous classes your high school has to offer in a subject. AP® courses are college-level courses offered in high school with an opportunity to earn valuable credit and placement in college. These classes also have weighted grades.

By taking an AP course and scoring successfully on the related AP Exam, you can possibly save money on college expenses. Check out specific colleges’ guidelines on accepting AP scores for credit and placement by searching the AP Credit Policy database on the College Board website.

CVHS added the prestigious AP Capstone program in 2019. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar & AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing will receive the AP Capstone Diploma™.

The AP Scholar Awards recognize high school students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on AP Exams. A roster of award recipients is provided online to their secondary schools and districts.

A detailed description of our concurrent enrollment and AP classes can be accessed on our website and course catalogue.
