Session 1: 29 May - 02 June (1 - 4pm)
Session 2: 05 June - 09 June (1 - 4pm)
Session 3: 12 June - 16 June (1 - 4pm)
FREE 1 HOUR EXTENSION FOR PHYSICAL TRAINING
Students who still have the stamina after the 1 - 4 pm daily session can stay back for extra physical training till 5 pm! Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about strategy during the extra interaction time with our coaches
Closing Date: A week before the start of the respective session or when class is filled, whichever earlier
Class Size: 24 students per lesson - 1 coach to 3/4 students
Training Fees: $675 per session; to be paid a week in advance before the start of the session
As the June Holidays are around the corner, World-Champ will be organising 3 sessions of training camps. The training camps provide an avenue for young players to train and ramp up for the upcoming tournaments such as the Pilot Pen Cup 2023 hosted by World-Champ. The focus will be on 4 aspects: Physical, Mental, Skills and Strategic.
Physical aspect: Through intensive drills and physical trainings, young players will definitely grow in terms of physical endurance and strength which will allow them to enhance their ability to go the full distance in a game.
Mental aspect: As they go through tough trainings that push them to their limits, young players will develop mental resilience and perseverance, which is a beneficial skill to them both on and off the court.
Skills Aspect: Depending on the skill level and trajectory of each young player, training will be tailored to suit their current levels through varying the training pace and difficulty. Below are some of the important skills that we hope to equip students with by the end of the training camp:
- Honing Basic skills: Lob, smash, net, drop, lift, defense, service
- Understanding both Singles and Doubles gameplay
- Movement on court for Singles
- Doubles movement and coordination with partner
Strategic Aspect: Young players will learn how to utilise the skills honed and acquired prior/during the training camp, and apply them in gameplay scenario. This will aid in elevating their in-game thinking and ability to think strategically on their feet, which would allow them to perform to the best of their abilities during future competitions.
