TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW
The Rainforest Classic Hockey Tournament, organized under the Juneau Adult Hockey Association (JAHA), started in 2003 as an Old Timer's tournament is now for co-ed players 21 years of age and older. This tournament has been hosted almost every year since the opening of the Treadwell Arena.  The games take place at the Treadwell Arena, over 3 days (Friday – Sunday) in late February.  Objective is to have 10 teams (at least 7 teams from Canada and other cities in Alaska).  There are two tiers of hockey A League and B/C League.  Over one hundred and twenty men and women players and their supportive families come to Juneau to celebrate the dynamic game of hockey over a long weekend.  There is also a wonderful banquet that includes a crab feed on Saturday evening.  Many out of town teams spend an additional day beyond the tournament to enjoy our city, ski Eaglecrest, shop, and support our local economy.

TEAM REGISTRATION
Team captains can register a full team for the price of $1000. Full payment is due at the time of registration. You will be asked to provide a team roster a few weeks prior to the tournament. If you are interested in picking up extra players, please contact us.

INIDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION
Individual skaters can register and be placed on teams. We will do our best to honor requests to play with others if you are traveling or hoping to play with friends but cannot put together a full team.

SISTER CITIES GAME
On Thursday night, the tournament features an international component with players participating in the popular Sister City Cup where Juneau’s finest Old Timer players take on the best from Whitehorse, our Sister City. This game and associated trophy has been championed by the Sister City Committee, our mayors from both communities, and embodies the true competitive spirit of hockey and friendly rivalry of the two communities.
