PEC Summer 2025 HIKES & WALKS Registration

Explore the Nature Sanctuary, Fox Chase Farm Perimeter, or Verree Meadow in search of sights, sounds & signs of wildlife.  

Outdoors, almost all weather. 

(Most) Moon Hikes: Meet at Pine Road Parking Area. As we hike to see the full moon rising (weather permitting) we will pause for the wild sights and sounds that are unique to the forest at twilight.  Full moon hikes are in the dark w/o flashlights. NOTE: Some may be moved to PEC or Champions Playground, please check email and Facebook for updates.

Wildlife Hikes: Meet at Pennypack Environmental Center. Explore the Nature Sanctuary in search of sights, sounds & signs of wildlife.

Most hikes are ~1.5 miles on uneven, rocky trails with hills.

Hikes & Walks are best for teens & adults. FREE.

Everything is subject to change as life happens. Registration is recommended to stay up-to-date as the year progresses. 

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot predict the appearances of specific wildlife, full moon, etc., however, you can expect a beautiful hike in nature. These are all-weather, outdoor program. Please dress for the weather and hiking. The center, bathrooms, and picnic areas are all accessible, however, the trails are rocky and uneven
