Mini-grants will be awarded to empower students and community-based organizations to implement activities to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates in school-aged youth (ages 5-18) throughout communities in Hawai‘i. The goal of each activity is to reach 20 or more students.
EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES:
- creation and distribution of materials
- events that bring students and families together for safe discussion
- digital campaigns sharing stories
- guest speakers/trainings
TIMELINE:
Funding is still available! Applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis.
- Applicants will be notified within 10 days of receipt of their mini-grant application.
- All awardees will have to submit a final impact report 2 weeks after the completion of their activity.
- All mini-grant activities should be completed by March 2022.
MINI-GRANT FUNDING:
$100-$500 - Small teams of middle and high school students including student clubs
$500-$2,000 - Schools, community groups, and organizations serving students ages 5-18
Adult allies (parents, program leaders, teachers, or other adult allies) are encouraged to support students in their efforts.
Upon award of a mini-grant, applicant will be asked to complete a mini-grant agreement. In order to receive funds, legal name, mailing address, and W-9 form will be required.
