Turn to Page 32 in your Handbook please. Read the section called "The Good News."
Jesus brought Good News for all people. He wants all people to be saved through his Death and Resurrection.
This list on Page 32 tells us what it means to be a Christian. Think of it as a guide on how to follow God.
From the moment we are Baptized, we are not alone, because we became a child of God on that day. God loves us always, no matter what. We also received the gift of the Holy Spirit on that special day. The Spirit of Love is always with us.
We know God's laws as the Ten Commandments so we know how to be a good Christian.
We hear the Good News during Mass in the Liturgy of the Word so we are nourished by God.
The Good News is we have the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation to be forgiven of the sins that separate us from God. Afterwards we are together again.
