Course Description:
Ever wanted to make your own accessories and clothing? This course contains two sessions where you’ll learn how to sew your very own scrunchies and bucket hats!
We’ll take you through step-by-step instruction, so it’s suitable for everyone, including beginners!
You’ll learn how to sew and how to use elastic.
Meet the Instructor:
Alina is a high schooler from California who has been sewing since middle school. Since quarantine began, she’s made 6 (and counting!) garments, upcycled countless clothes, and wants to help others do the same. She has self-drafted, cut, and sewed her clothes, learning a lot along the way. Recent projects include camis, a gathered dress, and jean shorts. From princess seams to pleats to bias tape, she has plenty of experience and knowledge. Outside of sewing, you’ll likely find her listening to music, playing volleyball with her team, coding, or eating.
Materials Required: a sewing machine, fabric (more info when you sign up), thread, ¼’’ elastic, scissors, chalk (or other marking tools), pins, measuring tape.
