New Neighbor Support Volunteer Orientation
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of our new neighbors seeking a refuge and a fresh start in our community?

Join us for the opportunity to become a part of our New Neighbor Support Weekend Program, where you can assist with the collaborative efforts that HPNC, the Hyde Park Refugee Project, Street Soccer USA, the Hyde Park Kenwood Interfaith Council, and other grassroots initiatives are working to provide.
Orientations will be held:

Thursday, April 18

Hyde Park Neighborhood Club.
5480 S Kenwood Ave, Chicago IL 60615

This orientation will serve as a group interview to access potential placement as a volunteer in the program; along with a training that will prepare you with all you need to volunteer in the program.

We deeply value the commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers, as you play a crucial role in the success of our programs. To ensure a smooth integration into our team and a comprehensive understanding of our operations, we require all volunteers to commit to four shifts, starting with their very first day of orientation.

On this initial day, you will participate in an orientation session designed to familiarize you with our mission values and the specifics of your volunteer role. Immediately following the orientation, you will have the opportunity to apply what you've learned by taking part in your first shift. To facilitate this, we ask that you look at your schedule ahead of orientation, enabling you to plan accordingly for your four future volunteer shifts.

This structure introduction is designed to enhance your volunteering experience, ensuring you feel prepared, confident, and valued from day one. We look forward to your contributions and are excited to have you join the team.
