ACT Shadow Day Request 2023-2024

All prospective students are highly encouraged to shadow before submitting an application.

All shadows should arrived between 8:00 A.M. and 8:15 A.M. and plan to stay until dismissal time at 3:30 P.M. Please make sure transportation is arranged for the shadow date as ACT is unable to provide transportation. ACT is located on Main Street in Willimantic, CT, however we ask that shadows use the back entrance on Riverside Drive.

Shadows have access to free breakfast and lunch. Please review the breakfast/lunch menu posted here.  Shadows are also welcome to bring lunch from home.

ACT is located in a renovated 1920s theater so some classrooms may be colder than others. We suggest that shadows bring a light jacket or sweatshirt. Shadows must wear closed backed shoes. Flip flops or other open backed shoes are not permitted per ACT's dress code for safety on the stairs. Clothing that allows for movement is suggested for those shadowing our dance and acting departments. Closed-toed shoes are required for those shadowing our technical theater department.
