Introduction to the Peer 2 Peer Program
The Peer 2 Peer Program is a program based out of Collingwood Neighbourhood House that is made up of a team of youth volunteers, post-secondary mentors, and staff who live and/or work within the Renfrew-Collingwood community. We strive to be youth-led, supportive, and  collaborative, as well as a place for youth to feel empowered to create the change they would like to see and be in society.

Our program consists of the following focus areas:
Holistic Health and Wellness Promotion
Social Justice
Peer Education
Youth Empowerment
Building Community and Connections
Event Overview
SHOWCASE DETAILS:

Over the years, the Peer 2 Peer Program has had the opportunity to showcase several group presentations by youth, for youth, on a variety of subjects via an after school program model. This year, our refreshed and relaunched Peer 2 Peer Program is proud to be bringing youth from ACROSS Renfrew-Collingwood alongside a range of community programs to partake in a large, community-based, end-of-year showcase!

This past program year, the Peer 2 Peer team has been able to learn more about various wellness and social justice topics that they feel are important and are impacting youth in the Renfrew-Collingwood community. This event is intended to showcase their learning and highlight various programs, projects, and community services in a fun and interactive format for all.

FOOD, SWAG, & RAFFLE DRAW:

We will be serving popcorn, cotton candy, and a catered lunch during the event. Food will be provided in exchange for a certain number of tickets. Attendees can collect tickets by interacting with various booths and attending presentations. In addition, various programs will be giving out free swag to all attendees during the interactive lunch exhibit and at registration. We will be hosting a raffle draw at 2:15pm for folks who would like to participate in that as well -- various prizes to be won!

DROP-IN VS. REGISTRATION:

Although folks can drop-in at any point throughout the day, registering in advance guarantees a spot for you during the time you would like to attend. Due to room capacity limits and CNH's Health and Safety guidelines, people may have to wait for folks to leave the gym before they are able to enter. As a result, there may be wait times while people are lined up and we are unable to offer accurate estimations of how long the wait times will be.
