Dallas Mobile Food Vending Survey
We are working with the City of Dallas to analyze Dallas’ current mobile food vending ordinance and to suggest changes/updates/expansions. We believe these options are worth exploring right now to reduce barriers of entry for entrepreneurs, to support small businesses, and to create opportunity in underutilized spaces.
We're asking that you, food operators in and around Dallas, give us your feedback so we can share it with City Council Members and City staff. You may stay anonymous, or provide your name and contact information.
Thank you for your time!

Do you own a food truck, food trailer, pushcart, or another mobile vending vehicle? (Please tell us which one, how many years you've had it, and where you normally set up.)
If you're comfortable with it, how much did it cost to purchase/outfit your mobile food vending vehicle?
If you're comfortable, please tell us which commissary you use.
Please tell us any issues or suggestions you have with the current ordinance in the City of Dallas.
Other than Dallas, what other cities has your food truck/trailer/etc served? How would you compare their permitting and enforcement process to Dallas'?
If you own a brick-and-mortar, please share your thoughts on mobile vending. (Would you ever consider getting a truck or tailer? Do you have any thoughts on the current ordinances?)
What obstacles, if any, have you experienced to being a successful food operator from a policy or requirement perspective?
