Welcome to Tribe 12’s 24-hour Digital Hametz Clean-a-thon! Your goal is to get rid of as much “digital hametz” as possible. You may be asking, “What is digital hametz?” Hametz is the leavened food (aka bread!) that’s forbidden during Passover. Part of preparing for Passover is the ritual of meticulously cleaning your home of hametz.

Digital hametz is all the stuff you need to cleanse from your digital life that’s accumulated since last Passover (e.g. emails, files on your desktop, open browser tabs, unwanted dating app matches, photos, etc.) The more digital hametz you clean, the more points you earn, for the chance to win prizes at the end of the Clean-a-thon!

This event will take place asynchronously over Discord; feel free to participate for as much or as little of the 24-hour period as you’d like! Fellow members of Tribe 12’s LGBTQIA+ Community & Allies will be awake and participating at all hours to help give you the encouragement you need, or to break the chain of promotional emails with a well-timed-meme.
