Faculty Roundtable on Midterm Grades | Registration Form

In the Spring of 2022, Faculty Senate voted to require midterm grades in the sixth week for all fifteen-week undergraduate courses. Midterm grades can be an effective way to improve grade performance and increase course completion rates. Both are tied closely to student retention.

The University Teaching and Learning Commons (UTLC) will hold a Faculty Roundtable discussion in collaboration with Dr. Andrew Hamilton, Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, to share information regarding this policy and offer an opportunity for questions on how to implement midterm grades.

The roundtable discussion will take place on Monday, September 12 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Faculty Center with a Zoom option. Please use this form to register for the roundtable. You will receive a calendar invite to confirm your registration. Email utlc@uncg.edu with any questions.
