APPLICATION: 2023-2025 Dynamic Embodiment - Somatic Movement Therapy Training Program (DE-SMTT) w/ Dr. Martha Eddy
Applications are now open for the 2023-2025 DE-SMTT Program Cohort. The more detail you provide in your answers on the application form below, the more Dr. Eddy and her team will be able to assess your readiness for the program.

BEFORE YOU FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION - please read this document to see if you are eligible:
DE Application Process & Tuition Guidelines

Before you apply, please know that this is an Advanced Professionals' Study Certificate Program. To join this program you must have approximately 300 hours of prior study with Registered Somatic Movement Educators/Therapists in a variety of subjects. The certification programs that prepare you for DE-SMTT include: Moving on Center, Body-Mind Centering, Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff theory. These somatic methods are fundamental to the Dynamic Embodiment approach and qualify most somatic practitioners for this advanced program.  Other approved training programs from ISMETA.org may be considered (such as Feldenkrais, Continuum, Alexander, etc.).

We welcome students from around the world and accommodate all students' needs with accessible, online programming in monthly meeting formats for those who are unable to attend classes or workshops in person. DE-SMTT is an 24 month (2 year) program and the full tuition is $7,900 (which includes a $500 deposit). There are numerous payment plan options and discounts for applying early, paying in-full and for previous certifications. Please reference the DE Application Process & Tuition Guidelines sheet for more information about tuition, discounts and program details.

If you need more hours to qualify for the DE-SMTT program you might be required to take Somatic Theory Prerequisite Courses.  Learn more about our Somatic Theory Prerequisite Courses here. You may also reference our public calendar here to see when these courses are scheduled. DE-SMTT Monthly meetings will begin in October 2023 and so you have time to accrue somatic theory hours before the program begins if needed.
