The Student Environmental Initiatives Committee, also known as the Green Fee Committee, is charged with identifying, researching, and recommending uses of funds that support environmental stewardship and sustainability on campus. The committee meets around once a month excluding December and the summer months. At these meetings, members will discuss proposals and decide where funding is directed. Because this money is funded through students, we put an emphasis on student opinion and have a majority of students as voting members. We are actively recruiting 1 new staff and 1 new faculty member to join the committee as one of the 3 faculty/staff voting members. If you have a passion for sustainability and would like to make an immediate and visible impact in our march toward carbon neutrality, please fill out this form in its entirety. If you have any questions, please email
