Alma Del Core: A Community Music Series 2023-24

This collaborative and celebratory series of four concerts is designed to empower us all through music making! The idea of Alma Del Core is to allow a creative, collaborative, and inviting space for those who wish to create and perform music on a regular basis. In this series will be performing side by side with one another to create dynamic, inspired, and fun performances! We are looking for interested performers who are:

  1. Amateur adult musicians 
  2. High School Juniors/Seniors 
  3. Collegiate Musicians 
  4. Professional Musicians 

Alma Ensemble also places a high priority on empowering voices of underrepresented composers.You can play a piece with a friend or teacher. You can also play a piece that incorporates flute, clarinet, or piano (or any combination!) We are happy to play with you! To participate in this series, we ask that you

  1. Select a work to perform that is written by an underrepresented composer (we are happy to help you with this!)
  2. Limit your piece for each performance to 8 minutes or less.

Notes: 
1. If all of the dates work for you, you may select them all and we will choose two for you based on programming.
2. We will be in contact with you to schedule rehearsal and/or dress rehearsal times. These rehearsals typically take place the Wednesday evening prior to each performance date!
3. Each concert will have a guest artist/clinician! Voice, piano, strings, and winds will each have a special guest artist. You can sign up for any date, but if you would like to work with a particular guest, join us on that concert date!
