The future of Seattle is on the line: our city is finalizing the comprehensive plan and transportation levy that will determine what housing and transportation gets built and who has access to these resources in the coming decade. And the mayor’s proposals don't improve livability and equity goals in our communities.
Disability Rights WA, House Our Neighbors, Transit Riders Union, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, 350 Seattle and others are organizing a community rally to show the mayor and council that we demand a levy and comp plan that meets the needs of all of our communities. We have an opportunity to build an affordable city with clean air, thriving businesses and communities, sidewalks, bike lanes, and transit in every neighborhood.
There will be performers, speakers, food, activities, etc as we celebrate Earth Day together on this beautiful land.
We're asking advocacy groups, community organizations, and grassroots affinity groups to endorse this Earth Day 2024 event, share with your network, and consider sponsorship to make this a nourishing and engaging event for the community.
Details: Saturday April 20th, 2:00pm @Jimi Hendrix Park
