School Psych/MHSP Bargaining Platform Feedback
We are so excited and honored that such an overwhelming majority of our colleagues chose ACE as the representative body to advocate on behalf of school psychologists and MHSPs in CUSD! We have been so anxious to get this process started that we are already brainstorming initial proposals because we don't want to waste any time! In order to negotiate more effectively, we want to make sure that our bargaining platform reflects your current concerns and is prioritized according to what is most important to advocate for when we begin negotiations.

Bargaining Committee Nominations
We are so excited to welcome new voices into our existing bargaining team! We have (2) seats available and encourage you to nominate colleagues that you think would effectively represent school psychologists and MHSPs in upcoming contract negotiations. All nominees will be informed of their nomination and will have the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination. If more than 2 individuals accept nominations, a vote will be conducted to determine which individuals will be new members of the bargaining team. The nomination window will close Thursday, February 17 at noon.
(Please note that in order to participate as a bargaining team member, individuals will need to commit to working with the rest of our team and being a member of ACE)
Please indicate your nomination(s) for ACE bargaining team member(s) to represent school psychologists/MHSPs in upcoming contract negotiations.
Advocating with Confidence - Understanding CUSD's Financial Standing
As a department, we want to use our unified voice to advocate for what matters most - equity and support for our staff and students. We have been told over the years that the district does not have the financial resources to address our needs, which tends to draw concerns over future negotiations as we have been hesitant to take resources from areas we know are beneficial for the sake of our own goals. The truth is, CUSD has an abundance of resources that are untapped and not being used to directly support staff and students, even in a time of dire need such as now. We want you to be confident that speaking up about your needs is not putting the district or other stakeholders in a compromising position. Please watch the following video for more information about the current state of district reserves.
