Podcasting provides a simple platform for a range of storytelling applications. While podcast offerings have exploded in the past decade, their use to drive higher education excellence is largely unexplored.
The Podcast Summer Sprint is a special opportunity for 8 Podcast Fellows to explore the use of audio-based storytelling for entrepreneurially-minded learning (EML) in and out of the classroom, as well as other creative uses to elevate engineering education. The Summer Sprint is comprised of a three-day in-person intensive workshop in Washington, DC (July 17-19, 2023) followed by two weeks of collaborative, online coaching.
The in-person workshop will explore the pre- and post-production mechanics of creating podcast episodes, as well as the design and delivery of audio storytelling. Each participant will leave with the skills to apply podcasting to their own interests.
All travel expenses will be covered, and each Fellow will receive a stipend for their engaged participation.
