Choir officers are servant leaders. They help with various aspects of the program including organization, planning, motivation, accountability, and more. Being an officer is a big commitment. Before submitting an application you should be certain that you are able to fulfill all of the requirements. Review the list of officer positions below and consider if you would be a good fit for one of these positions.
President
The Choir President acts as a liaison between choir students and the director. The president helps with coordinating social events, helps facilitate setup and tear-down at concerts, and helps with various tasks as needed.
In order to be nominated for Choir President students must be in either their junior or senior year and have been enrolled in choir for at least one year previously.
Vice President
The Vice President assists the president with all duties. During concerts, the Vice President is responsible for taking attendance. The Vice President may be asked to assist with various tasks as needed.
In order to be nominated for Vice President students must be in at least their Sophomore year and have been enrolled in choir for at least one year previously.
Class Representatives
Class Representatives are tasked with assisting the director during their class period as well as during concerts. The Class Representatives also assist with facilitating communication between choir students, choir leadership, and the director.
Each class period will elect one representative. In order to be nominated as a class representative students must be enrolled in a choir class period.
