Writing Academic Synergy's Summer 2023 Academic Job Market Writing Retreat Registration Form
Thank you for your interest in Writing Academic Synergy’s summer 2023 virtual academic job market writing retreats! This summer's retreats will take place in two parts: Part 1 will be a 2-day job market summit occurring on June 3rd and 4th. All registered participants will attend this summit to learn about the job market process in addition to the art and science of writing exemplar cover letters, CVs, and research, teaching, and diversity statements. For Part 2, registered participants will attend one of three 3-day intensives occurring over the month of July to workshop and receive constructive feedback on their draft job market materials. Please complete the following intake form, including demographic information and your preference/availability for the three options of dates for Part 2's 3-day intensives occurring over the month of July.

Registration is contingent on a “first come, first serve” basis, date availability, and our ability to process intake as quickly as possible. We will notify you in roughly 5 business days to confirm your participation in one of our three summer retreats. Please note that completing this form does not guarantee your participation. Only after receiving e-mail confirmation from us will you be officially registered and guaranteed participation at one of our summer retreats.

Do note that retreat participation is not free of charge. We offer market-friendly rates for 5 days of job market training based on your current status: $550 for graduate students and $650 for postdocs and other non-tenure track appointees. If the cost of attendance would pose a severe hardship to your finances, please contact us at write@writingsynergy.com to discuss possible alternative forms of payment (e.g., sliding scale) for your participation in a job market retreat.
