Program Overview & Dates
The COVID-19 Pandemic introduced new challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs in every industry, including beauty. This course will introduce participants to general business development specifically in the beauty industry, but is beneficial to all that have a product. The facilitator will provide a unique perspective of business supply chain and distribution for cosmetic and beauty products, from small purchasing and media marketing and ecommerce and wholesale. These nuggets though geared from the prospective of the beauty industry, will be invaluable to any business owner that sales a product.

Program Times: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Program Frequency:  Group will meet once per week (Wednesdays)

Program Dates:  NOVEMBER 3RD, 2021 - DECEMBER 15th,  2021  (Pre-program kick-off October 7th)

Program Objectives & Goals
By the end of the course, all participants will have received tools for understanding resources, defining their brand, and understand supply chain and distribution as it relates to their product.
Participant Criteria & Cohort Capacity
Who should take this course: Small business owners WHO HAVE A PRODUCT and want to develop a better understanding of supply chain management and distribution.

Criteria for Program Eligibility:

- The business must be located in one of the following counties in the San Antonio area: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Wilson.
- The business must have been in business for a minimum of 1 year (this program is not for pre-venture or start-ups)
- The business was impacted by COVID-19 Pandemic
- Participants must own at least 50% of the business and have decision-making authority
- Participants should have basic computer browser capabilities
- Participants should be available to attend and actively participate in at least 5 of the 6 sessions (see dates above)
- Participants must be committed to growing their business and complete all WBC surveys to track progress and results

-  For the BEST experience, participants should have a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection to complete live group workshops and hands-on work.


Cohort capacity is limited to 25 participants. Participants will be selected by a committee based on meeting the program criteria and best fit with the cohort.

Program Format
Each workshop will include a minimum of 2 hours of group online instruction/discussion.  The workshops will be highly interactive and there will be individual sessions for one on one assistance. Students will be required to create a Zoom account to complete the workshop.

One workshop per week (Wednesday evenings), a total of 6 workshops over the course of 6 weeks. There will be an orientation session to kick off the group in the first week, and post-program instructor support will be offered after the course if needed, directly from the facilitator.
