Peace Media- the U.S. Ambassador's Youth Council
Peace Media, initiated by The U.S. Ambassador's Youth Council and funded by the U.S. Embassy, is an intensive training program which aims to equip youths with a knowledge of media literacy and video production skills. The training focuses on tackling unethical broadcast on media and enhancing media literacy among media consumers in Cambodia. The trainees will be required to produce short educational videos under specific themes as part of the training completion. With this main objective at play, Peace media consists of the following objectives.

Objectives:
1. Raise people's awareness of their ability to read media
2. Encourage people to express their knowledge about media issue
3. Providing a platform for them to initiate a feasible solution to address media issues
4. Equip youths with the ability and passion to produce short educational videos

Hence, we're currently seeking 15 committed and energetic trainees who wish to tackle violence on media and learn how to educate people by using short educational videos. Volunteers will be provided with the following benefits:  
1. Free soft-skill training
2. Free training on various media issues such as fake news, new manipulation, fabrication, depression, and media side effect
3. Video shooting and editing

Experts from the above-mentioned fields will be invited during these intensive training.

*Selection Criteria
- Cambodian
- Aged 18-25
- Willing to explore media issues and willing to enhance media literacy among Cambodian users
- Hard-working, committed and friendly AWESOME youths
- Willing to learn new things, be flexible and adaptable to the situation
- Be able to work under uncomfortable circumstances

** Candidates wishing to enroll in the training are required to allocate time for the following dates:
1. Orientation Day: August 31st , 2019 (In the afternoon)
2. First training on soft-skill cultivation: September 8th, 2019 (The whole day)
3. Second training on media literacy: September 15th, 2019 (The whole day)
4. Third phase of training on video production skill: September 22nd, 2019 (The whole day)
