Community Service Guidelines & Request for Approval Form
A minimum of 40 hours of community service is a graduation requirement in the Estes Park R-3 School District at Estes Park High School.  Students have two options in order to meet the requirement.

Option 1: Students may complete service hours yearly during their high school experience.  Items that qualify are hours worked with: non-profit organizations, service projects to include river clean-ups, etc., work for any individuals or families who needed assistance, volunteer coaching or tutoring, and other items you feel qualify with school approval.
Option 2: Students may complete a large service project of 40 hours total during their four-year high school career.  This option will allow students to design and implement a program during their high school experience.

*Students may choose to work individually or in teams.

You will want to keep a personal portfolio as well to utilize when applying for college, scholarships, and jobs.
