Call for the Expression of Interest for Industries

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) is pleased to announce the Call for Expression of Interest to participate in the Training Programme on Implementation of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in Sri Lankan Industries.

The training programme is an intensive experiential learning course aimed for energy managers, energy engineers, and production managers of industries that are interested in saving energy and reducing energy cost. During the training programme the participants will learn about rules and process of implementing Energy Management System in line with ISO 50001 standard as well as gain practical skills and experience in developing EnMS documentation, identifying energy saving opportunities, establishing baseline and energy savings targets. The training programme will be delivered by leading international EnMS/ISO 50001 experts.

The programme consists of four modules, which will be delivered during the following dates:

  • Targeted industries: Energy Intensive Manufacturing Industries, Metal (rolling, fabrication, metal finishing etc.); food and beverages; rubber processing and products (tyres, gloves etc.); textile and apparel; mining (tiles, porcelain, roofing tiles, cement etc.); consumer products; paper and printing; chemicals and paints; polymer (packaging, plastic goods, PVC etc.). Please note that Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are not eligible for this training programme.
  • Number of participants: Up to 50 from selected 25 companies (2 participants per company)
  • How to apply: Please complete the attached registration form and return to: info@ncpcsrilanka.org by 18th September 2022
  • Shortlisted applicants will be called for a virtual interview
  • Fees: The trainings will be delivered free of charge to industries committed to implement EnMS
