WHAT ROTARY IS:
Rotary is an international organization of local community service clubs. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. In other words, Rotarians around the world serve their community by using their work related talents to help others, both in the local community and throughout the world. For example, Castle Rock Rotarians raise money for Wellspring Community, the local Women’s Crisis Center, the Senior Center, the Help and Hope Center, orphanages and impoverished communities in other parts of the world; sponsor the Rotary Youth Exchange Program; award scholarships, and sponsor students to attend a Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp.

From the earliest days of Rotary, Rotarians were concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their personal and professional lives. One of the world's most widely printed and quoted statements of ethics is The Four-Way Test, shown below.  Standing the “test” of time the Four-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways.    Rotarians promote the Object of Rotary by applying the Rotary Four Way Test to what we think, say and do.

The Four Way Test:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED?
3. Will it BUILD GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it BE BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED?

In our club, was also recognize the importance of enjoying life and have added a fifth element to the test:
5. Is It FUN.
