6th Annual NSC Continuing Education Student Art Exhibition
The 6th Annual Continuing Education Student Art Show: July 14 - August 13, 2020.

The 2019-20 NSC Continuing Education Student Art Exhibition is an annual exhibition of Art by NSC Continuing Education (CE) students held in the NSC Art Gallery. Submitted work needs to have been created in a continuing education art class at NSC within the last school year (Summer 2019, Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and Spring 2020 quarters.).

You may submit three (3) total pieces of your work* in any of the following media: metal work, jewelry, paintings, drawings, ceramics, prints, photos, digital art, woodworking, comic book illustration, etc.

*Only work produced in a CE class will be considered

Please note: This will be a juried show and not all works will be chosen for inclusion: space restrictions, range of work, and presentation will all be considered.  

Please read the RULES and fill out this ENTRY FORM. You will need to fill this form out by midnight on Friday, June 26, 2020. This form is an online form - no need to print this form out.

Submit your work for consideration to the NSC Art Gallery 12-2pm and 5-7pm on Friday, June 26, 2020.

Friday, June 26, 2020 - Midnight:
- Entry Form due

Monday, June 29, 2020, 12-2pm and 5-7pm:              
- All Artwork due at the NSC Art Gallery

Monday, July 6, 2020, 8am-7pm:        
- Work not accepted should be picked up from the Continuing Education office.

Tuesday, July 14, 2020, 6-8pm:                  
- 2019-20 NSC Student Art Exhibition opens to the public (with Exhibition Award Ceremony at 7:00pm)

July 15, 2020 – August 13, 2020:              
- Exhibition Dates for the 6th Annual NSC Continuing Education Student Art Exhibition
Gallery hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 12-2pm and 5-7pm and Fridays 12-3pm (also see artgallery.northseattle.edu)

Friday, August 14, 2020, 12-2pm and 5-7pm:

Rules for Entry
Please fill out the online entry form completely by midnight on Friday, June 26, 2020 (Do not print this entry form out). Please fill out and print the contract and labels that are on the CE website: continuinged.northseattle.edu/art-show and bring them with you when you drop off the work on Monday, June 29, 2020, either 12-2pm and 5-7pm. Please attach a label securely to each piece of artwork.

If you have questions about what to put on the forms, please talk to your instructor for help.

All artwork must be finished and presentable for display. We encourage framing for 2-D work.

Paintings:
1. All paintings must be framed or have the edges of the canvas painted. Your work should appear finished and ready to
        hang.
2. No wet paintings will be accepted in the gallery.
3. Paintings should have a hanging wire attached on the back.

Prints, Photography, Drawings:
1. Artwork should be neat, clean and look finished.
2. Prints and photography should have clean edges.
3. Drawings should be sprayed, with clean borders and no ripped edges.
4. Artwork should not be creased, bent or folded.
5. Framing of 2-D artwork is encouraged.

3-D Artwork
1. Artwork should be finished and ready for display.
2. Ceramics and sculptures should be freestanding or be attached to a base.

Video/Photo Work
We can exhibit video and photo work on a monitor if necessary. The images will be shown on a loop. If you would like more control of your work please know that you can submit a device for your work to be shown on.

Please fill out the entry form and submit it electronically by midnight on Friday, June 26, 2020 before dropping off the work. Please fill out the contract and labels completely, print them, and bring them with you when you drop off the work. You must print the included labels and attach one securely to each piece of artwork.

If you do not adhere to the rules listed above your work will not be considered for inclusion in this exhibition.
