IVECCS needs help in lab supply to support the workshops and labs at IVECCS! Volunteering in lab supply is a great way for you to be involved in IVECCS and is a vital role in the symposium being a success. We basically set up a hospital and tear it down in the span of 7 days!
We need technicians who are used to working with supplies commonly found in
hospitals with emergency and critical care services.
Requirements: Must be registered to attend the meeting as an attendee, speaker, or exhibitor and willing to volunteer two or more half-day blocks as designated, in order to receive complimentary registration. A block consists of an entire morning or an entire afternoon – approximately 12 hours.
Description of Duties: You will assist laboratory logistic coordinators in unpacking/packing lab supplies, preparing kits for workshops and labs. Must be able to accurately identify specialized equipment/supplies, commonly found in hospitals with emergency and critical care services. Depending on the shifts worked duties might
include:
- Unpacking boxes and sorting supplies
- Packing for workshops and labs based on lists that instructors have provided
- Unpacking boxes that return from workshops and labs
- Packing items to be shipped back to industry sponsors
- Packing items to be shipped back to the VECCS office
- Creating inventory lists of remaining items
- Helping move supplies back and forth to workshops within the off-site location
