E98 Instructor Application (Fall 2021)
Want to share your knowledge of navigating the world of Berkeley engineering with new students?
Become an E98 instructor for the Fall 2020 semester!

Engineering 98 is a one unit, P/NP DeCal class that was designed by upper division engineering students to help freshmen transition into and get the most out of Berkeley engineering. It is officially sponsored by the College of Engineering and began in 2005 through UC Berkeley's Tau Beta Pi Chapter, a national engineering honor society.

Each section meets once a week for one hour, with 2 to 3 upperclassmen engineering students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) teaching up to 20 freshmen and junior transfer students, providing a relatively intimate discussion setting. E98 is an amazing opportunity to get teaching experience, build communication skills, and get involved with engineering students on campus. We are hoping to enroll over 200 freshman students in 12 sections, so we are looking for lots of enthusiastic instructors! We, the E98 Coordinators, will provide resources such as suggested weekly lesson plans to aid your role as an E98 instructor.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at e98coords@gmail.com.

Thanks!
