Judge Eligibility and Preferences
We need to assess if you're eligible to judge at BEST tournaments and find out if you have any preferences for judging any categories.

You must be a high school graduate to qualify as a judge

You must feel comfortable listening to English continuously for 1 hour. This is crucial to judging at BEST tournaments.

Please note that you have to have passed at least one Judge Training in the current school year to be assigned as a judge. If you have not, you have to attend/complete one at the upcoming tournament. You can find out more about the different categories here.

This is to make sure you are not selected to judge any of the competitors from a school you are biased towards or specific students you are biased towards. If you are a judge for a team you do not know personally, you do not have a bias toward that team and don't need to list the school name here.

Logistical Details
We prefer that judges can commit for the entire weekend. When are you available to judge at the tournament? *
Please make the travel arrangements you will need to get to the tournament on time. Judges must participate in both days of the tournament to get accommodation and travel reimbursement.
From which city/town/village will you be traveling from to get to the tournament? *
Please indicate your accommodation requirements for the tournament. *
To receive accommodation from BEST, you must judge all rounds you are assigned on Saturday and Sunday. BEST covers the cost of 1 night (Saturday night) of lodging for judges and will book you in a hotel. Due to the limited budget and a limited number of hotel rooms, BEST will be placing judges in double or triple rooms with other judges, coaches, or chaperones.  If you wish to use another night at the same hotel, the BEST Foundation can book, but would not pay for that second night. 
If you would prefer to share a room with a coach/chaperone/judge you know, please provide their name.
BEST reserves the right to not honor this preference in case of certain accommodation circumstances.
Will you require transportation reimbursement to get to the tournament? *
All judges at a BEST Tournament are eligible to have their transportation reimbursed if they volunteer for the entirety of the tournament. BEST Foundation covers the cost of the travel by train to and from Sofia. In case the attendant wishes to travel by bus or other transport, the foundation will cover an amount equal to the train journey. Please note that BEST will only reimburse you if you provide your return tickets. This means that you are encouraged to buy your ticket back from the tournament site before getting reimbursed. BEST also reimburses car transportation in cases in which you are transporting three or more judges/coaches/chaperones to the tournament.
