Urban Wild is committed to following current restrictions for outdoor social gatherings and guidelines for the safe operation of businesses set out by the Alberta government in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's get our nature grooves on!

Section 1: Program Selection

Did you know that lady bugs hibernate in the winter? Join Alex and Hoot while we explore what animals are up to this fall to get ready for winter. During this 1.5 hour program children and parents will be lead in an exploration of the park from the perspective of a new animal each week getting ready for winter. Children will also be provided with materials to craft up their own nature buddy to take home to inspire further play and exploration.

Please select which program you are interested in registering for below. Urban Wild will email you to confirm your spot and provide details for program payment via E-transfer.

Cancellation Policy

Participant Cancellation: Urban Wild requires 2 weeks notice for cancellation of program for full refund. There is no refund for missed classes.

Urban Wild Cancellation: In the event of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances Urban Wild will cancel a class and families will be notified. Urban Wild will offer a date to reschedule this class when possible.
*New: If classes are cancelled due to circumstances related to weather or Covid-19 that prevent Urban Wild from delivering a minimum of 65% of the program (4/6 or 3/5 classes) refunds will be provided (-10% administration fee).

Section 3: Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk and Photo Release

I, the adult participant in Urban Wild programs named below (the “Participant”) and guardian (the “Guardian”), of minor participant/s named below (the “Child/ren”) understand that by checking off and entering my name on this document I expressly agree to all the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement (the “Release”).

I, as Participant and Guardian, acknowledge that I am and my Child/ren are voluntarily participating in Urban Wild Programs offered by Urban Wild.

I understand that participation in Urban Wild Programs can expose me and my Child/ren to risk and possible injuries.

I, as Participant and Guardian, accept and assume any and all risks of injury up to and including death, to myself and my Child/ren, or any property damage, whether caused by the negligence of Urban Wild or otherwise.

I, as Participant and Guardian, expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against Urban Wild, and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”), on account of injury, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to participation in Urban Wild Programs, whether arising out of the negligence of Urban Wild, of any of the Releasees, or otherwise. I, as Participant and Guardian, covenant not to make or bring any such claim against the Urban Wild or any other of the Releasees and forever release and discharge Urban Wild and all other of the Releasees from liability under such claims.

I, as Participant and the Guardian, declare that I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice with respect to the matters addressed in this Release.

I, as Participant and the Guardian, further declare that I fully understand this Release and have not been influenced by any representations or statement made by or on behalf of Urban Wild.

All matters arising out of or relating to this Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.

Photo Release

During the Urban Wild Program photographs may be taken for promotional purposes. These purposes include, but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram, the Urban Wild website, and print. Photographs taken will not be sold or used for commercial distribution. Names will not be used to identify people in pictures. Please note Urban Wild will make the effort to use pictures where adults and children are not easily identifiable. This includes pictures taken from further away, pictures where the full face is not shown, pictures of hands engaged in an activity and projects constructed during events. *

Section 4: COVID-19 Participation Agreement

All Urban Wild programs operating as of July 1, 2021 will operate according to current outdoor social gatherings restrictions and the guidelines for the safe operation of businesses set out by the Alberta government in relation to COVID-19 pandemic. I recognize that Urban Wild will be operating within current outdoor social gathering restrictions and general workplace guidelines provided by the provincial government.

I understand that I must review the current Covid- 19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist for any attending member in my household prior to arriving onsite to a program.

I am aware of the COVID-19 symptoms and will stay home if my child or I is displaying any of the symptoms.

I will answer the health checklist from Urban Wild staff honestly and accurately prior to each program.

I understand that if classes are cancelled in relation to Covid-19 that prevent Urban Wild from delivering a minimum of 65% of the program refunds will be provided. Refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee.

I freely and voluntarily agree to assume the risk with respect to COVID-19, including the risk of death, bodily injury, or property damage, regardless of severity, that I, or my child, may sustain as a result of my participation in the program activities however arising, including, but not limited to, the active or passive negligence of Urban Wild.
