WHAT IS LOST & FOUND?

The USD Lost & Found chapter is committed to connecting fellow students with the tools and community to develop lifelong resilience. What does resilience mean?

"Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors. It means "bouncing back" from difficult experiences."

Lost&Found helps college students overcome the challenges in life through learned experience and connection to fellow students. As chapter leaders, you take a leading role in making your campus the best it can be! Chapter leaders are connected to student and academic affairs and campus counseling leaders to ensure programs meet the student mental health needs of your campus. In other words: you have the opportunity to meet students where they are on your campus and help them find the support and resilience that helps them live well. What better way to serve your campus!

At a time when your students in South Dakota and around the country are facing greater levels of depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, and other mental health conditions, we need your voice, your experience, and your desire to serve. Lost & Found will challenge you and support you in your own journey as a student leader and give you the tools to be successful as a chapter member, leader, and human being.
