Join us for this unique Yom HaZikaron program to remember a fallen Israeli soldier by cooking their favorite dish and learning about their story.
This program will take place in two NH locations
Wednesday, May 8th at 5:30pm ~ private home in Bedford
In Bedford we will make sweet and sour soup in honor of Shilo Har-Even z"l.
Shilo was commanding one of the only forces patrolling around the Gaza strip on the night of October 7th. after a heroic battle with his unit, in which they killed more than a hundred of terrorists, Shilo was killed while protecting Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
Shilo loved Israel more than anything. He grew up in Anatot, and was raised on the values of loving the country, serving it and protecting it at all costs. Shilo's favorite dish was his grandma's sweet & sour soup.
Thursday, May 9th at 5:30pm ~ private home in Moultonborough
In Moultonborough we will make homemade shakshuka to honor Eliraz Gabbay z”l.
Eliraz was wounded the week before he fell, and chose to return to the field to fight alongside his friends. He fell in the central Gaza Strip on December 30, 2023, at the age of 37.
Eliraz really liked shakshuka, he was a field man who loved traveling, he could open a stove anywhere in Israel and just make shakshuka in nature.
