Fall and Winter Break 2021 Embedded Programs Survey
Global Programs is working diligently to plan for a return to travel that is responsible and carefully managed, with the health and safety of our students, program leaders, and host communities as top priorities. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward our ultimate goal of resuming travel for the benefit of our Penn State students. With this in mind, the embedded program proposal process for Fall 2021 and Winter Break (December 2021-January 2022) travel will be opening soon. (Note: December 2021 travel which occurs after December 18, 2021 is considered a Spring 2022 course component.)

Although travel is prohibited by Penn State at this time, we continue to move forward with the planning processes in the event that travel will be resumed for Fall 2021 and beyond. If you are planning an embedded program with travel occurring in Fall 2021 or Winter Break 2021-2022, please complete this short Google form. Our team will then be in touch with you to help you navigate  the program proposal process and the additional requirements and expectations for faculty leading programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your submissions to this form will also help us determine deadlines for program review and viability.

We appreciate your time and participation in this survey. If you have any questions regarding this form, please contact embeddedprograms@psu.edu.

If answered yes to previous question, who are you working with?
At this time, Global Programs is unable to assume financial risk for Faculty-Led programs. Therefore, program leaders need to be cognizant of the date upon which non-recoverable costs related to the program would come into effect. Program leaders should also consult with department heads and academic unit leadership about the possibility that a cancelled program financial cost/penalty could be borne partially or wholly by the sponsoring academic unit (campus/college).  What is the earliest date that funds of any kind (provider/hotel deposits, excursion fees, flight reservations etc.) will become non-refundable? *
Purchasing flights at this time is prohibited. By what date do you feel you would need to purchase flights for your group? *
