Team Skywalkers is a student-led organization whose mission is to create the next generation of STEM leaders through the intersection of engineering principles, leadership, and community service. We teach STEM to underserved Bay Area communities and annually participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), the most prestigious robotics competition for high schoolers worldwide.

Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, FRC teams are challenged to raise funds, design a team brand, hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots (weighing over 120 pounds!) to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. At the same time, FRC teams are encouraged to give back to their communities with the knowledge and resources they've gained.

This season, Team Skywalkers educated over 250 students from low-income communities, raised over $35,000, and were an international winner of the Industrial Design Award as just a first-year team, commending our innovative robot design, advanced AI & autonomous driving software, and high robot performance.

As a rapidly growing team which has already achieved much success in just our first year, we are looking for dedicated and hardworking new members to join our team for the 2021-2022 season. Members will not only be a part of building and programming our robot, but they will also gain invaluable experience in leadership, marketing, outreach, and business to create meaningful initiatives which sustain our team and create impact worldwide.

The priority deadline for this form is June 5th. While the form will stay open until June 12th, candidates will progress to their interview process and be accepted into limited spots on a rolling basis.
