General Information

The goal of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market Kids Garden Club is to teach neighborhood children (ages 6-12) how to grow vegetables while cultivating their appreciation for the work of farmers.

CFM Kids Garden Club meets at Over the Fence Urban Farm (143 E Dominion Blvd) on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30PM. (NOTE: The farm will be open starting at 6:15pm each week. Club will start promptly at 6:30pm.)

Meetings dates for 2020:
Earth Week PreSeason Cleanup event 4/22, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29 , 8/5, 8/12, Harvest Party: 8/19

Field trips will take the place on 2-3 of the dates above.
Market sales will take place twice on Saturdays from 9-noon (June and August) at the Clintonville Farmers' Market.
More information and specific dates will be distributed in advance of these sessions.

The cost of the Club is $50. Upon completion of this form, you will receive an emailed invoice. You can also send a check made payable to Clintonville Farmers' Market to PO Box 141318, Columbus, OH 43214.
(This cost is significantly subsidized through support from the Clintonville Farmers Market!)



Rules and Expectations

ALL Club members are expected to uphold the following Code of Conduct:
• Remember you are a guest on a working farm. Follow all rules.
• Treat all individuals associated with the Club with kindness and respect.
• Be attentive, listen, and participate in all group activities.
• No foul language or reckless behavior.

Each member of the CFM Kids Garden Club is expected to attend work meetings regularly.  Of course we understand things come up, especially in the summer! Please notify your garden mentor when you will not be in attendance on any given date.

The Club will meet rain or shine. However, if there is thunder or lightning, we will reschedule. You will receive an email no less than 30 minutes in advance of weather-related cancellations.

Parents are encouraged to stay at the farm during club sessions. Parents of children 6 and under and required to do so. You are welcome to work alongside your child in the garden, or sit and read, work, or visit with other parents. If you do plan to leave, please be sure to let the garden mentor know in advance of doing so. Do not drop off your child any earlier than 6:20pm and return promptly by 7:25pm.

Members are required to bring a water bottle and are invited to bring a snack. Bug spray is also optional, but HIGHLY recommended.

Please use the restroom before you come to Kids Garden Club. While facilities are available, bathroom breaks will take time away from our activities.

No pets, please.
