Welcome to the TWR Youth Action Network (YAN) application form for new members! Thank you for sharing your interest in getting involved! We can't wait to learn more about you and welcome you into our global community of history-making youth activists. We accept new member applications on a rolling basis and there is no cost to apply or to be a YAN member. Once you submit your application, we will review it, and be in touch as soon as possible with our decision. Below is a brief description of the YAN and expectations of our members. Then you'll find some brief application questions so we can get to know you and ensure this is a good fit for both of us. We ask some demographic questions as part of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your answers will be kept confidential by application reviewers who are leaders in our community. If you would like to keep a record of your answers, please document them separately as you cannot save or access them once submitted. About the TWR Youth Action Network (YAN):

The TWR Youth Action Network empowers the next generation of leaders to be effective human rights advocates by sharpening their skills, growing their networks, and designing projects that can have local, national, and global impact. We apply the lessons of the past to the present to counter division and hate in our schools, communities, and on social media. By remembering humanity at its worst, we seek to inspire humanity to be its best until “never again” is a reality, once and for all.

Expectations of Members:

1. Join the Conversation: Connect and collaborate regularly via our members-only Slack channel and respond to monthly blogpost questions on relevant topics to community members.

2. Show Up: Participate in virtual YAN projects, events, and meetings. Projects are always happening, events are monthly, and meetings are monthly. We don't expect you to show up to everything, but hope to see you often!

3. Spread the Word: Help us grow our community of awesome youth activists by recruiting friends and peers!

4. Be Kind: Treat others the way you would like to be treated in our community. ***No form of bullying or harassment will be tolerated in the TWR Youth Action Network***
