Hike to Heal Australia is a non-profit organization dedicated to suicide prevention, aiming to inspire communities to enhance mental well-being and provide support to those affected by mental health challenges and suicide loss, fostering hope, healing, and connection.
Founded by the Barton family in loving memory of their son, Nick, Hike to Heal Australia seeks to destigmatize suicide, raise community awareness, and promote connection. Together with a close-knit group of family and friends, they created Hike to Heal Australia.
Our flagship event, the Hike to Heal Scavenger Hike, is a unique experience within the Toowoomba Region. It's an interactive hiking event suitable for participants of all fitness levels and hiking experience. Hikers embark on a journey at Mt Peel Nature Reserve, following clues to discover natural treasures and solve riddles while connecting with nature.
We are in search of dedicated volunteers to help us in spreading the message of Hike to Heal and improving mental health outcomes in the Toowoomba Region.
Currently, we are working on the following goals, where we would greatly appreciate volunteer assistance:
- Event Management: Particularly for our flagship event.
- Sponsorship: Engaging with current sponsors and securing new partnerships.
- Community Engagement: Through marketing, PR campaigns, and social media outreach.
- Expansion: Exploring opportunities to extend our impact beyond Toowoomba.
- Mobile Application Development.
- And more...!
We are grateful for any support that you can offer. If you are interested in volunteering for Hike to Heal Australia, please submit an application form today or if you have questions please reach out to us!
