Hello, we are Sheffield Student Housing Co-operative, and we are looking for three new members to join our co-op! There are three rooms available from 1st July 2023 for the upcoming academic year.

APPLICATION PROCESS
After we receive your application form, we will get in touch to arrange an informal interview for you to meet us and see the house (if you are not currently in Sheffield, we can do this online). We are also running "Taster days" for prospective members, where you will spend a day here to get an idea of what it is like to live and work at the co-op, finishing with a communal dinner. After we meet all applicants, we will make our final decisions and notify you.
RENT AND DEPOSIT
Rent itself is £75/week, and bills are paid out of the co-op’s bank account. We each pay an equal share towards bills on top of the rent, and the total usually comes to less than £450/month.
We also ask for a deposit of £150, and to become a member of the co-op you pay £1 to buy a share. We do not ask for a guarantor, and the deposit and share are returned at the end of the tenancy.
ACCESSIBILITY
Unfortunately the house is not fully wheelchair accessible: There is one bedroom on the ground floor but both bathrooms are upstairs. Currently both the front and back doors have steps, but one could be adapted for step-free access. We have funds available to make other adjustments and would be happy to do any required work before you move in.
DATA
The information you provide will only be seen by co-op members and only used for the purposes of the co-op's application process. It will be stored securely and deleted after the application process concludes, unless you give permission to retain it for future rounds of membership applications. You can also email the co-op to request that your data be deleted.
