Math, Science & Technology Resource Center (MSTRC) Tutor Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming an MSTRC tutor!

Student employees must reside in California and be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) or be a work-study recipient (6 or more units), and attempted 180 or less cumulative units. Ask a De Anza math or science instructor to submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf, which is linked below. You can submit an application at anytime. Our positions are competitive and we encourage you to keep your application up-to-date with additional math and science subjects that you can tutor, your contact information or graduated/transferred date if there is any change.

PLEASE NOTE:

Since we don't do hire each quarter (but retain all applications that not hired for at least a year in our system), we have a large competitive pool of application. Thus, it is difficult for us to send out application's status update to each applicant. However, if you have any question, update your tutoring courses or check in about your application status, you can email us anytime at deanzamsrc@gmail.com.

If you are not invited to an interview, your application will be kept on file for a year and it will be reviewed for future hiring rounds. Make sure to have all contact information and tutoring courses update. Keep in mind that if you are not selected for interview, the reason may not be because you are not qualified, but it is because we have high qualified candidates in our applications pool that can tutor in all and/or at high level of math or science subjects or can tutor in multiple subjects (e.g. math and chemistry or chemistry and statistic). But, please don't get discouraged. We hire a couple times during the school year and as you take more math and science classes, you will have more chances to be our tutor.
