Seven children have passed away in migration detention centers in the hands of Homeland Security. Families have been separated and children were detained in inhumane cages under new federal anti-immigration and xenophobic policies. Many underage migrants remain detained in federal detention centers such as the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center in Staunton, Virginia.

Please join us in writing letters and messages of support to migrant children in the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center. Write whatever comes to your heart. Imagine they are your children, your nieces and nephews, your students, your friends. We hope these personal messages will let them know how loved they are. Spanish is preferred but messages in any language are welcome.

A staff member will write down your letter submitted here. Federico Cuatlacuatl and Second Street Gallery will drop letters and supplies off at the Center after this exhibition closes.
